When it comes to jewelry, people often think of diamonds or swans as iconic symbols. However, Miko Lim, the creative designer behind SK Joaillerie, wanted to create something different. She stumbled upon the tale of the French Angelfish, also known as Pomacanthus Paru, and found its story to be a perfect fit for what she wanted to convey - exclusivity, romance, and classic beauty.
The French Angelfish is a species that mates for life, a rarity among ocean creatures. They are always seen in pairs, defending their territory and staying together until death separates them. This unique characteristic symbolizes eternal love, making the French Angelfish a secret romantic species. In fact, they are commonly known as French Angelfish because of this romantic nature.
Miko Lim carefully crafted the logo design to ensure that it did not resemble a fish shop logo. It was essential for people to immediately recognize the contents of the logo at first glance. To achieve this, she incorporated classic gemstone jewelry as the base of the artwork, merging the representation of the French Angelfish with the elegance of jewelry.
The logo design, created using Adobe Illustrator CS6 and Adobe Photoshop CS6 software, perfectly captures the essence of SK Joaillerie. The simplicity, elegance, and romantic theme will sustain the brand's charm for years to come.
SK Joaillerie's logo is not limited to just branding. It can be crafted for various items to generate consumer awareness. For example, it can be incorporated into SK Joaillerie's pendant design, which measures 140mm in width, 134mm in height, and 4mm in depth. The pendant is made of 18k white gold and finished with delicate diamonds. The necklace, with a diameter of 420mm, is also made of 18k white gold and features the SK Joaillerie logo as the centerpiece.
Throughout the design process, Miko Lim faced the challenge of positioning and sizing the SK initials in the logo. With many prominent brands already using the initials "SK," she wanted to ensure that SK Joaillerie stood out and received the recognition it deserved.
The SK Joaillerie logo perfectly embodies the brand's commitment to timeless elegance and romance. With its unique inspiration and meticulous design, SK Joaillerie is set to become a prominent player in the jewelry industry.
